Ilana Bergman, psy.d.

Ilana Bergman is a postdoctoral fellow at Long Island Behavioral Psychology. She completed her Psy.D. at Pace University and her APA-accredited internship at Nassau University Medical Center, where she worked with children, adolescents, parents, and adults across both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is fluent in Spanish and provides services to Spanish-speaking families. Dr. Bergman is dedicated to partnering with parents, children, and teens to address a broad spectrum of concerns, including anxiety and obsessive–compulsive symptoms, trauma-related stress, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Bergman’s research focuses on family systems, and her dissertation examined how parenting behaviors were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. She follows an integrative approach grounded in evidence-based practices andadapts her work to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Ilana Bergman tiene una beca Post doctoral en Long Island Behavioral Psychology. Completó su Psy.D en Pace Univeristy y su internado acreditado por la  APA en Nassau University Medical Center donde trabajó con niños, adolescentes, padres y adultos en settings hospitalizados y ambulatorio.  La Dra. Bergman habla español con fluidez y provee servicios a familias de habla hispana. En su práctica profesional demuestra el  firme compromiso de trabajar con padres, niños y adolescentes al enfrentar un amplio espectro de preocupaciones tales como ADHD, ansiedad, síntomas obsesivos-compulsivos, estrés relacionados con trauma y desafíos conductuales. La investigación de la Dra. Bergman se enfoca en sistemas de familia y su disertación examina en profundidad como el comportamiento de los padres se vio afectado por la pandemia COVID-19. Con un enfoque integral de prácticas basadas en evidencia, logra adaptar su trabajo de manera de satisfacer las necesidades especificas de cada individuo.
