Postdoctoral Fellowship (PART OR FULL TIME)

BROOKLYN, NY

Long Island Behavioral Psychology is open for a post-doctoral fellowship position for the 2026-2027 cycle.  We are looking to fill a position in our Brooklyn location.  We are a small, warm, and collaborative, child and adolescent CBT practice. We specialize in anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, specifically using exposure-based treatment methods. We also specialize in behavior problems in children using PCIT. We are currently providing treatment via telehealth and in person in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn and in Cedarhurst, Long Island. 

Long Island Behavioral Psychology offers employees the opportunity to grow through PCIT training towards certification, weekly team meetings, and weekly supervision, as well as opportunities to develop their own interests and specialties. We offer a warm and collegial team and flexible schedule and caseload.

 Applicants must have received a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited institution. Applicants should have experience providing cognitive-behavioral treatment for anxiety disorders, and particularly exposure-based interventions, as well as experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. This position will involve working individually with children, adolescents, and adults. Clinical work will include direct individual treatment, working collaboratively with family members, other mental health professionals, and schools.

 Post licensure, there is opportunity for growth and ability to remain at Long Island Behavioral as a staff psychologist.  We offer a competitive compensation package, including a training stipend to further professional development. The salary for this position is $60,000-$65,000. Part time applicants will be considered.

PostDoctoral fellowship (part or full time)

CEDARHURST, LONG ISLAND

Long Island Behavioral Psychology is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship beginning Fall 2026.

Fellows benefit from PCIT training toward certification, weekly individual supervision, weekly team meetings, and support in developing their own clinical interests and specialties, as well as a training stipend to support professional development.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program and have clinical experience with cognitive-behavioral and exposure-based treatment for anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and/or adults. Experience with assessment is valued. Clinical work will include individual treatment and collaboration with families, schools, and other providers. Post-licensure, there is opportunity to continue at Long Island Behavioral as a staff psychologist. Part-time applicants will be considered.

Salary: $60,000–$68,000

Staff Clinician / Therapist

BROOKLYN, NY

We are hiring a staff clinician for our Brooklyn office, with a flexible start date through October 2026. Full-time is preferred, but part-time will be considered; compensation will be prorated accordingly.

We welcome applicants at a range of credential levels, including licensed master's-level clinicians (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent), licensed psychologists, and doctoral-level psychologists who are not yet licensed (supervision is available). What matters most is strong training and experience in CBT and exposure-based treatment for anxiety disorders, and genuine enthusiasm for working with children, adolescents, and families.

Clinical work will include individual treatment across the lifespan, as well as collaborative work with families, schools, and other mental health providers. Fellows benefit from ongoing supervision and consultation and opportunities for continued training, including PCIT.

Salary:
  • LCSW / LMHC: $65,000–$95,000
  • Ph.D. / Psy.D.: $80,000–$120,000
All ranges are full-time equivalent and commensurate with experience and licensure status.
